June Ellis is an artist and freelance writer. She enjoys painting the beauty that surrounds her. Living in rural Prince Edward Island all her life has given her a special connection to the Islandís beauty. This is captured through her oil & acrylic paintings of the sandy shores, light houses and farm lands.

She lives with her husband, Glen, and their six children on their 320 acre family farm in East Bideford, PEI. She spends time in the summer camping with her family on the peaceful beaches of her Island.

June has an eye for capturing soft colours in her paintings while using only three colours (red, blue and yellow) and white.

She has enjoyed drawing since childhood and for the past several years has advanced her talent to oil painting. She has studied under Island artists Henry Purdy, Sandi Komst, Maurice Bernard, Emily Durant and Nan Ferrier.
Her work has been on exhibition at The Guild, Shipyard Market,The Landing in Tyne Valley; Northport Pier, Alberton; the Eptek Centre, Summerside and Ellen's Creek Gallery and Framing, Charlottetown and the Artist Forum at the Rodd Mill River Resort, the Buyers' Market in Charlottetown and Women's Works Project at the Confederation Centre of the Arts in support of Anderson House.

June is now promoting her work through her website and has made limited edition prints and bookmarks from her oil and acrylic paintings. Some of her art pieces and prints have traveled to every province in Canada and as far away as Africa, Italy and Japan. They are also on display through various outlets on Prince Edward Island. Please contact her if you are interested in wholesale prices.
