Getting Back to a Routine

Days End is an oil painting that sold some time ago. It depicts the end of a long working day for fishers. Our warm summer days are coming to a close (prints are available). To see more, drop over to my website.

In the Studio

I recently went to an inspiring exhibition at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. It was the Sobeys Exhibit, which is a large collection of vibrant art pieces owned by the Sobeys family.

Just a sample of one of the vibrant art pieces

This was one of my favourite pieces, by Christopher Pratt.

Most Recent Work

Beach House is a my latest oil painting. Yes a beach scene, my personal favourites to paint. There may be a few little tweaks on the cottage. It is from a reference photo I took while walking along the beach at Malpeque, PEI.

Tips for the Artist in You

With recently going to the exhibition I mentioned, I would like to suggest to my artist friends to explore the work of other artists.

A good way to improve your art is by studying your favourite artists. See how they capture the lights and darks, the movement of water and the sweep of the clouds.

Drop me an email, send me a photo of what you are creating.
