This painting will soon have a home. I had it for sale on my Etsy Store and a mom purchased it as a gift for her daughter's upcoming wedding. Whispering Sands was painted from a reference photo of my walks on the beach close to Twin Shores, Prince Edward Island. I enjoyed painting the sweeping sand along the beach. As a PEI Artist, I am always looking for magical beach scenes to paint. Prints are available - prints
In the Studio
I started my fifth painting in my Mill River Series. Leaves, leaves and more leaves. It may take me awhile. This is another 24x36 inch painting. I will be going on vacation to Mexico with my husband and his cousins. Looking forward to some fun and sun. So I will not be in my studio.
Tips for the Artist in You
This is a progress photo of the painting I am working on. I am hoping to finish it before I go on holidays. I'll be looking for help naming this one. Any ideas, please send me a message to my email. juneellisartist@gmail.com Thank you in advance.
Tips for the Artist in You
Are you looking for a safe way to clean your brushes? I recently came across this formula, while watching another artist's video.
It is 1/3 vegetable oil (just a cheap kind); 1/3 dish soap and 1/3 of water. Put this in a bottle and shake well. Then pour into a smaller container that you can wash your brushes in, preferably with a small grid in the bottom of the container.
